Abstract

The article examines the problem of using linguistic markers (lexico-semantic and grammatical ones) to verbalize the attitude to foreign influence on domestic fashion in the Soviet women’s periodicals and network blogs of 2014-2018. The authors focus on studying the functions of the identified markers. The conclusions are made that in both the discourses, the attitude to foreign influence on domestic fashion is expressed by the same linguistic means: means of expressing subjective modality of obligation, evaluative vocabulary, foreign borrowings and foreign inclusions.
