Abstract

The article is devoted to the linguoculturological study of the terminological units included in the terminological system of the United States school education. The author extrapolates the conception of term cultural meaning to the terminology of the US school system. The paper discusses the examples of the territorial variation and uniqueness of the American school education terms. It is concluded that the terminological system of school education in the USA contains about 13% of terms with a cultural component of meaning reflecting the local identity of the American educational system.
