Abstract

The article deals with a critical analysis of the Cartesian position on the innate idea of God by representatives of the spiritual and academic tradition. The concept of the existence of objective reality, proposed by Descartes, played a key role in the era of the formation of natural science and a new type of philosophizing. At the same time, as an organic part of the Cartesian existence of the world, the idea of innate knowledge of God has undergone significant analysis by the theistic philosophy of religion. Representa-tives of the Moscow and Kazan academies pointed out an error in understanding the knowledge of the Absolute, which involved the reduction of human activity to a minimum.
