Abstract

After the end of the Great Patriotic War, people who lived in the territory temporarily occupied by the enemy were forced to respond positively to the question of the enquiry about this discrediting fact. Not all of them were members of partisan detachments. At the same time, it should be recognized that the vast majority of them were not subjected to criminal prosecution. This means that bodies of the Soviet government realized that those citizens had no other opportunity to survive. However, some of Soviet citizens opt to collaborate with the enemy. They held various positions in the collaborationist administration, became village elders and policemen. The Soviet Resistance deservedly considered them enemies and waged a relentless fight against them.
