Abstract

The paper aims to carry out a comparative analysis of E. M. Remarque’s and H. G. Konsalik’s works dealing with the moral issues of human existence during wartime. Scientific originality of the paper lies in the fact that the comparative analysis of the prose writers’ ethical positions formed under the influence of the existential crisis caused by World War II is being carried out for the first time. As a result, the researcher has managed to identify similarities and differences between the ethical positions of the writers, whose worldview and lives during pre-war and war periods were rather dissimilar.
