Abstract

Long-term data on total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPHs) at individual stations of the state seawater monitoring system in the areas of Anapa, Novorossiysk, Gelendzhik, and Tuapse during 1996-2019 are analyzed. Parameters of the long-term regime at the stations are compared, and the significance of the detected differences is assessed using statistical methods. The zones of polluted water transformation located between coastal sources of pollution and conditionally pure water in the open sea is identified. An impact of coastal pollution sources on the interannual variability of TPH concentration in the distant areas of the open sea is estimated.
