Abstract

The article discusses one of the key issues of the organization and the implementation of the educational process is a question of the effectiveness of the control system of educational achievements of students. Its consideration is proposed in the context of the competence approach. One of the problems raised by the author is that, often, the teacher checks only knowledge without taking into account the elements of practical assimilation of the material by students. This is, in principle, understandable, since traditional assessment does not provide a complete picture for analyzing the development of integral personal characteristics, which include "competence" and which the modern education system should operate with. To solve this problem, the article clarifies and systematizes by levels and types the primary indicators for assessing the quality of educational achievements of students, a set of evaluation scales is proposed. The conclusion is made about the inadmissibility of poor-quality assessment of educational achievements as a key element of the specialist training system.
