Abstract

The publication examines the biblical hermeneutics of Hryhoriy Skovoroda in the plane of scientific statistics of Leonid Ushkalov. Leonid Ushkalov's eleven books about the life and work of the Baroque philosopher-theologian Hryhoriy Skovoroda are a significant contribution to Ukrainian Skovorodastudies. The authenticity of the texts of Hryhoriy Skovoroda's works, restored by Professor L. Ushkalov, made it possible to eliminate the mistakes made by copyists and to free the thinker's works from Russification layers, to return him to the bosom of the Ukrainian literary baroque. It is noted that the phenomenal erudition of Leonid Ushkalov allowed him master the remarkable intellect of the last Ukrainian baroque writer, understand every word of Hryhoriy Skovoroda and comment on the most complex topos of the humanist's literary entertainment. It seems that he knew everything about Hryhoriy Skovoroda. Such omniscience about the Ukrainian philosopher-theologian pleased the professor, gave him the pleasure of a difficult and deep penetration into the depths of the prefigurations of the difficult-to-understand texts of the baroque exegete, because he chose, according to H.
