Abstract
The purpose of the study is to develop a dynamic method for determining the bearing capacity of a foundation made in a rammed pit. The research program includes two stages. At the first stage, the pits were made by ramming and measuring «failures» when dumping the ramming. At the second stage, experiments were carried out to study the operation of the foundation when applying a vertical load. According to the results of field tests, it was found that there is a dependence between the values of «failures» when installing a rammed pit and the bearing capacity of the foundation. According to the research results, an engineering method for determining the bearing capacity of a foundation made in a rammed pit is recommended.
