Abstract

It is possible to increase the efficiency of development of vein quartz deposits by increasing the yield of conditioned fractions of quartz raw materials. The article proposes a technology for combined mining, which consists in the advanced extraction of inclusions of the highest quality quartz by drilling large-diameter cores, as well as the use of an improved scheme for explosive loosening of the contact zone of overburden and quartz to reduce the negative impact of the explosion. The use of borehole charges of reduced diameter with cumulative cavities provides a shielding layer of uniform power, and, consequently, more effective protection of quartz from the damaging effects of an explosion. Extraction of the remaining reserves of quartz, predominantly of ordinary quality, is carried out using a hydraulic hammer.
