Abstract

The article examines a special type of discourse - foreign-language professional pedagogical discourse - in the context of a new trend of linguistic pragmatics - phono-pragmatics. The author consistently analyzes scientific experience in the sphere of discourse studies on the basis of an interdisciplinary approach, justifies the importance and relevance of studying qualitative characteristics of living speech from the viewpoint of their communicative influence. The paper analyzes the possibility to broaden the sphere of phono-pragmatic studies by examining linear sequences and their components - segmental units, which together with supra-segmental ones acquire actual communicative implementation and come out as a marker of foreign-language professional pedagogical discourse.
