Abstract

This study suggested the teaching and learning strategies of African music for Korean elementary students. African music has been attracted by many musicologists due to its lively rhythms, unique tonal systems, polyphonic textures and other musical characteristics. Especially, its vivid rhythm and accompanying dance draw much interests of elementary students. This study did not only developed the teaching and learning materials but also tried to enhance the values of human rights, anti-bias and respect in elementary students
