Abstract

In this text, we will consider the concept of culture and forms of manifestation of culture. Firstly, we will explain the role of the Enlightment in history, that is, philosophy, because the whole Postmodernism is a reaction to the Enlightment. Once Postmodenism is explained, we will look back to impact of culture and its role in the Postmodernism. We will indicate the basic features of culture in the postmodernism. We will try to present the perception of culture through some of its manifestations like communication, media, the death of great narrations and great truths that disappear. Finally, we will explain the term of deconstruction which is important for philosophical observation of the world, culture, society and human being. We will also consider the theories of philosophers and theorists who shaped the idea of the postmodernism, such as Jean – Francois Lyotard and Jacques Derrida.
