Abstract

The fast-paced and unhealthy lifestyle and lack of exercise are the main reasons for the deteriorating health of adolescents. This requires quick and adequate measures to protect the health of children. In search of new methods to improve the motor activity of preschool children, I discovered Yoga. Its application for the healthy development of preschool children is an innovative and fun way to deal with immobility. Yoga is not a competition and gives us the freedom to do what we like. In this article I present specialized yoga practices for children in the conditions of the modern „Montessori“ kindergarten. By practicing yoga poses with a corrective effect in unity with the Montessori method, we help the child not only to improve his posture, but also to discover himself, to show individuality and to develop his potential. The child discovers a new path – a path to self-improvement of the individual.
