Abstract

We analyze available methods for representing and visualizing three-dimensional models as applied to the problem of preliminary processing of digital geometric models of the lower limb stump in the creation of a prosthetic socket model. The research methodology involved the methods of processing three-dimensional images, classification, and clustering. As a result of the conducted research, the methods suitable for developing an algorithm for preliminary processing of a digital geometric model of the lower limb stump in the creation of a prosthetic socket model. Such an algorithm automates segmentation and visualization processes for 3D point clouds.
