Abstract
The research is carried out in order to find an alternative method of fixing the mine workings, corresponding to the mining-geological and mining-technical conditions of finding the mine workings and ensuring safety of mining operations. Based on the analysis of mining-geological and technical conditions of mines, the experience of using stone casting in related industries and a possible alternative option are considered. For further study of the proposed hypothesis of the stone-casting method of fixing mine workings, variants of directions for studying the properties of rocks are proposed. The research is aimed at fixing the mine workings with a molten rock, which is formed under the influence of an electric arc, including the formation of a monolithic reinforced layer due to the modified rock created along the perimeter of the workings.
