Abstract
In the article, the results of the research of the processes of innovative development of the tourism and recreation sector of the economy of the region in modern conditions are presented. Modern innovative technologies used in the field of tourism and recreation, which are promising, have been identified. These include: Internet platforms and mobile applications, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), Blockchain. Certain factors inhibiting the innovative development of the tourism and recreation sector of the region's economy, including: conservatism and resistance to changes, limited resources, regulatory restrictions and legislation, barriers between sectors, insufficient understanding of customer needs.
