Abstract
The article deals with the manifestations of value and social-psychological turbulence as a factor of the update of the Russian society’s mental structures. The idea that large-scale integration processes and internal restructuring of the entire living space have influenced the metaphysical foundations of the Russian spirit and emphasised their binarity and ambivalence is substantiated. Dispersion of meaning-value and social-psychological attitudes has generated postmodernistic forms of behaviour and interaction, which are a response to the mutual influence of archaic and transnational identities.
