Abstract

This study aims to propose reading activities for the cultivation of digital literacy targeting learners of Korean for academic purposes. To this end, we reviewed previous studies on digital literacy and Korean reading activities. It was confirmed that most textbooks do not present specific methods for addressing integrated language activities in Korean.
Therefore, in this study, we suggest a method and stages of integrated reading-writing and reading-speaking activities to a number of participants proposing reading activities that can be applied in actual educational settings. This study is unique as it specifically outlines activities for cultivating learners’ digital literacy not previously presented in textbooks. In consequence, it is expected that if studies on ways of conducting classroom activities accumulate, the results of this application will be notable and Korean textbooks reflecting the changed learning environment will be developed in the future.
