Abstract
The versatility of the national culture, which integrates the achievements of Ukrainian people and has the features of harmonious self-development, requires such a socio-cultural organization of society, which would contribute to the systematic spiritual and cultural development of each individual. National culture, having high educational and educational potential, acts as a powerful factor in the harmonious development of a person, its socialization, individualization, ethno-cultural identification. Every person himself becomes not only the creator of culture, but at the same time its creation. The article deals with ethnographic design as a phenomenon of modern culture in the context of preservation and enhancement of the elements of the intangible cultural heritage, in particular, it concerns the development of traditional crafts. The wording of ethnographic design from the pedagogical point of view as a kind of complex interdisciplinary art-project activity is synthesized, which synthesizes regional traditions of artistic and material culture, modern humanitarian, artistic and technical knowledge, methods of artistic design and technical design, is aimed at creating an ethnocultural subject environment, aesthetically assessed as integral and harmonious. Design based on ethnocultural motifs is a global trend. Recourse to the history, theory, and methodology of design in modern science is not uncommon. The ultimate goal of design, which is to form a harmonious subject environment that most fully meets the material and spiritual needs of man, encourages the need to understand design as an aesthetic expression of culture. Therefore, recourse to social activities related to the transformation of reality according to the laws of beauty is an urgent need of modern aesthetics, namely those of its applied properties, embodied in design, the speed and dynamism of which accelerates in unison with the development of society.
