Abstract
Such indicators as the volume and quality of ejaculate in ganders, egg production per average laying hen, the weight of eggs of geese of the parent flock, the incubation quality of eggs of geese of the parent flock characterize the ability of the bird to reproduce. The timing of the use of poultry in farms is determined by the level of productivity of a particular type of bird at different ages. Age-related changes in egg production associated with a gradual decrease in sexual function are characteristic of bird s of all species and breeds, but to varying degrees. Establishing the timing of the use of poultry is important, both in terms of obtaining quality products and its cost. The best reproduction rates were found in geese of the second and third use and ganders of the fourth year, which had a positive effect on the results of incubation.
