Abstract

The research objectives are as follows: to identify and systematize modern trends in development of pedagogical discourse as an integral part of the modern society, to reveal specificity of communicative interaction between participants of the English-language educational webinars. Scientific originality of the study is conditioned by the fact that the webinar is for the first time considered as a new socio-communicative phenomenon of virtual pedagogical discourse, in which institutional interaction becomes less ritualized, the chronotope structure of communication transforms, which leads to changes in a virtual linguistic personality’s pragmatic intentions within the framework of distant communication. The conducted research has allowed the authors to identify the following basic trends of pedagogical discourse development: globalization, integration of different discourse styles, axiologicity of textual material of intertextual and meta-disciplinary nature aimed to form value and professional orientations of educational process participants.
