Abstract

The purpose of this literature review is to suggest various considerations for conductingsystematic dose-response effect studies on mindfulness meditation. To that end, we examinedprevious dose-response effect studies on mindfulness meditation using experimental designs. Next, other dose-response effect studies in adjunct fields such as pharmacy, sport science, andcounseling were also investigated to compare similarities and differences. As a result, variousconsiderations and guidelines such as stipulating side effects and manipulating interventionhours were found. Based on the findings, future directions of dose-response effect studies onmindfulness meditation were discussed.
