Abstract

This work is devoted to theoretical research aimed at revealing the mechanism for managing the processes of accelerated reproduction of the potential of an economic entity. The authors are of the opinion that for the rapid development of potential and, as a result, the successful implementation of innovative ideas, cooperation between project participants in the form of network interaction or the formation of an ecosystem (business system) is necessary. The work substantiates that the economic potential of a product can be represented as the result of the interaction of market (MPP) and resource-production (RPP) potentials and, first of all, their maximum values. At the same time, it is necessary to achieve a balance between increasing the maximum potential of MSP on the one hand and increasing the RPP on the other through innovation or extensive growth. Additionally, the study emphasizes that the processes of managing the development of the potential of an economic entity are significantly influenced by the innovative environment, which includes such elements as infrastructure and institutions. Based on the results of the study, the authors presented their own definition of the concept of “innovation environment” and clearly showed the relationship between the elements of the project’s innovative potential and the elements of the environment. From the presented relationship, further requirements for the program of innovative development of both the region and an individual industry follow.
