Abstract

The article discusses the methods used by designers and builders to solve the problems that arose during the construction of a unique 22-storey archive building of the Central State Archive of the City of Moscow in the cramped conditions of urban development on weak foundation soils. The choice of the design scheme and the layout of the building made it possible to compactly accommodate all the necessary life support systems of one of the largest archives. During the construction of a high-rise building, the method of reinforcement of weak soils by the «Geocomposite» method was applied.
