Abstract

The article considers the publication of the series of nine iron arrowheads where the feather and the detent resemble spearheads. The author provides the information about the location and origin of these objects. The classification is given to the signs of arrowheads. The detailed description is given to each product, specifying its parameters and design features, providing the illustrative materials. The article examines the development of arrowheads’ signs and outlines the scope of their analogies. These data allow us to determine the time of existence and ethno-cultural affiliation of the analyzed objects. The period of existence of the single blade arrowheads which resemble the spearheads covers the period of the 13-18th centuries. The main territory of their distribution indicates their belonging to Mongolian culture. The collection of eight arrowheads originating from the Hovd fortress may be associated with the events of the Dzungar-Qing war of 1731-1732
