Abstract
This article presents socio-economic problems and priorities of regional development using information technologies. Actual problems were identified and the direction of using information technologies to support the federal project «Sport is the norm of life» aimed at improving the demographic situation of the country was chosen. Several ways of increasing the rate of increasing the involvement in physical culture of the population of the Russian Federation are given, and the reasons for which the population does not want to engage in physical activity are also investigated. Subsequently, an example of the use of information technology in this direction is given.
