Abstract

Nowadays economy and technologies development requires cross-functional management of shared information. In accordance with the new business environment, container shipping industry companies implement new technologies such as electronic platforms, the Internet of Things, blockchain and others. Smart containers technology can be beneficial cooperation tool for supply chain participants; however, companies must make accurate and thoughtful decisions when investing in new technologies. This article proposes a method for evaluating new technologies based on an Enterprise Architecture approach to enterprise information systems, The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) methodology and the Capability Driven Approach (CDA) in together with Information Economics method, as a multi-criteria method of IT project investments evaluation.
