Abstract

The article deals with the problem of children’s leisure, its organization and opportunities for cultural and educational activities in its development. The authors’ study of cultural and educational practices for children currently existing in the city of Kolomna, Moscow region, is presented. The leading method is content analysis of websites and pages on social networks of state and non-state organizations offering leisure activities for children. Leading areas of leisure activities for children living in Kolomna have been identified: decorative and applied art, drawing, music, sports activities, etc. The main age categories for the programs are preschoolers and junior schoolchildren with a small number of classes for teenagers and almost no offers for families with children of an early age.
