Abstract

The paper aims to identify reliable and generally recognised ways of structuring and formatting an entry in bilingual phraseological dictionaries and monolingual dictionaries of euphemisms, on the basis of which entries are organised in the “Russian-English Dictionary of Euphemistic Phraseological Units”. The work is the first to describe the principles of structuring a dictionary entry in a bilingual dictionary of euphemistic phraseological units, which constitutes scientific novelty of the study. As a result of the study, it has been found that the necessary components of an entry are the accounting for and presentation of all types of variants of Russian euphemistic phraseological units, their paradigmatic relations, functional-stylistic, temporal and territorial attributes.
