Abstract
The review presents the current results of scientific research on the problem of studying the chemical composition of animal fats, which have found their application in traditional medicine. Modern scientific prerequisites for the creation of broad-spectrum drugs based on these substances are discussed. The composition of the fats of hibernating animals is considered in more detail, because the preparation of animals for hibernation involves the formation of a fat of a unique composition in their body
