The globalized nature of supply chains has brought to the forefront various social and ethical implications, demanding heightened attention from researchers, businesses, and policymakers. The article delves into the critical realm of social and ethical considerations in supply chain management, shedding light on the risks, challenges, and opportunities associated with adopting sustainable practices. The article provides the overview of global supply chains’ impact on diverse stakeholders. It explores the multifaceted nature of sustainability and social responsibility in supply chains, encompassing aspects such as labour practices, human rights, environmental responsibility, and transparency. Drawing upon recent case studies and real-world examples, the research studies the risks and challenges that arise from ethical lapses within supply chains.
