Abstract

Objectives: This study is to investigate the factors that affect the self-concept satisfaction of clinical practice of students on their satisfaction of clinical practice among Students Majoring in Dental Hygiene.
 Methods: The subject of this study was a self-reported survey of 179 students in the 3rd grade dental hygiene department residing in Gwangju Metropolitan City and Jeollabuk-do. The data were analyzed using SPSS/PC WIN 23.0 program with frequency, mean(standard deviatio), t-test, ANOVA, Person's correlation coefficients(Duncan') and multiple liner regression.
 Results: The results from multiple liner regression analysis showed that satisfaction of clinical practice among the students significantly influenced professional self-concept. In particular, clinical practice contents, clinical practice instruction, clinical practice environment, and interpersonal relationship were statistically significant with professional self-concept(p<0.001).
 Conclusions: Therefore, It is necessary to develop educational programs to form positive dental hygiene professional self-concept.
