Abstract

Purpose: The Influence of Bioethics Education Experiences of College Students in the Department of Beauty Studies on Bioethics Awareness. Method: This study was developed by Young-suk Lee (1990) and revised and supplemented by Bo-Ram Choi (2010). The contents of the questionnaire consist of 4 general characteristics, 9 bioethics-related characteristics questionnaire, and 29 bioethics consciousness. It was composed of questions. The subjects of this study were college students in beauty departments in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The final 256 copies were analyzed by descriptive statistics, cross-analysis (χ) test, and independent sample t-test using the SPSS WIN V21 program, excluding those with poor integrity among the 270 copies that met the research purpose. Results: First, most of the respondents said that the values of bioethics change according to the situation, and the educational experience was low. In addition, bioethics was “important,” and when it comes to bioethics education, it was highly “will attend”. Second, the group that experienced bioethics education was significant in the group with and without bioethics education experience. Conclusion: College students in the Department of Beauty are aware of the importance of bioethics awareness and feel the need for bioethics education.
