ОСОБЕННОСТИ НАКОПЛЕНИЯ СИМВОЛИЧЕСКОГО КАПИТАЛА ПАРЛАМЕНТСКИМ ИНСТИТУТОМ (НА ПРИМЕРЕ ГОСУДАРСТВЕННОЙ ДУМЫ)

Abstract

Introduction: the article is devoted to a research into the features of symbolic capital accumulation by the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, which are directly related to the nature of this political institution, domestic parliamentary tradition, elections and the manner of formation, its structure and content of activities. Aims: the research is aimed at identifying the features of symbolic capital accumulation by the State Duma.  Methods: historical, comparative, sociological, comparative analysis. Results: the author outlines the basic concepts that have the greatest impact on the symbolic capital accumulation by the parliamentary institution. The most important features of the symbolic capital accumulation by the State Duma as stated by the author include the parliamentary tradition in the Russian Federation; the method of the regular reconvening of the State Duma; organization of its work; its organizational structure and membership, the content of lawmaking activities. Conclusion: all components in the symbolic capital accumulation are interrelated and interdependent. Their implementation primarily depends on the degree of the State Duma openness, its ability to convey positive attitudes about their own activities, hence bringing to the fore the communicative practice using new information and communication tools. The steps taken in the framework of the activities of the 6th and 7th State Dumas have not been yet highly effective, and there is a need for further elaboration of effective practices resulting in raising trust to the State Duma.
