Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a complex, multifactorial metabolic disease that tends to steadily increase and affects the quality and life expectancy of the population. Cardiovascular complications accompanying this endocrine pathology most often lead to early disability and are the cause of death of patients. The main role in the pathogenesis of diabetic angiopathies belongs to the manifestation of free radical oxidation (SRO). Based on this premise, the purpose of our study was to study the effectiveness of taking an antioxidant (AO) of plant origin – dihydroquercetin (DHA) in the conditions of complex therapy of patients with type 2 diabetes living in the northern region. 132 people were examined, of which 78 patients with type 2 diabetes were included in the main group, 54 representatives of the alien population of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Yugra were included in the control group (conditionally healthy, without metabolic disorders).
