Abstract

The article analyzes the investment process in the Russian economy during the period of serious sanctions restrictions. Since the Russian economy has an export-raw materials orientation, the industry, primarily processing, does not receive proper development, and many large manufacturing companies are foreign partners, who for the most part either closed their business in Russia altogether or sold it to Russian partners, today there are difficulties with the development of the main – the real sector of the economy. The purpose of the work was to study the current situation with the volume and structure of investments in the Russian economy. To do this, the statistical data of Rosstat by federal districts, by sources of financing in fixed assets and by types of fixed assets were analyzed. The authors identified the most pressing problems of the Russian economy for 2023, including: lack of funds for the development of industry, lack of technologies for the development of knowledge-intensive industries due to lack of funding, withdrawal of foreign partners, insufficient state support within state funds, etc. Based on this, practical ways of solving the difficulties that have arisen in the framework of the investment process in the Russian economy have been proposed.
