Abstract

The article defines that modern senior pupils of secondary general education, having a sufficiently high theoretical knowledge, very often do not know how and cannot realize themselves in a modern dynamic life. This is due to the lack of qualities that allow solving problems and challenges facing them in life. It is emphasized that the uncertainty of the future, the instability of socio-economic, political development of the state require from each person such qualities that will not only adapt to the present, but will help to outline and clearly imagine their own future, actively overcome life barriers. It is noted that the formation of students’ business qualities will allow them to successfully integrate into a complex social environment in which they will act not only as consumers but also producers, performers, managers, i.e. to perform various social roles, and determine the effectiveness and quality of their activities. The content, forms, methods of business qualities development of senior pupils are considered. It is emphasized that a special form of work is individual counseling, which helps to increase pupils’ self-esteem, encourage activity and interest in it, form in pupils the idea of a business person who can manage themselves and circumstances. The revealed examples of situations help pupils gain experience of self-analysis and self-assessment of their behavior in the team: value-choice situations, reflective, project, creative, training situations. It is emphasized that educational extracurricular work is characterized by inexhaustible opportunities for gaining experience of business success. A set of measures for pupils to gain business experience is presented. The content and forms of training on business activity development are presented. The specially developed optional course «Businessman: ways of formation» is described. The special course contains significant information about the ways of becoming a business person, the possibility of continuing education and obtaining a profession, mastering the essence of project activities. It is emphasized that the peculiarity of the course is that it requires the cooperation of many professionals – teachers, psychologists, employees of the employment center, experts in various fields of professional activity.
