Abstract
The article examines illogical constructions typical of spontaneous colloquial speech by the material of scenic dialogues of modern dramatic works. Alogisms are considered in the meaningful, normative, communicative-pragmatic and grammatical aspects. Such a comprehensive approach allows the authors to reveal specificity of absurd statements development, which involves violation of the basic principles of logic and committing logical errors, to identify the constructions most frequent in colloquial speech and to ascertain the basic causes of their appearance.
