Abstract
The article is an interview with Margarita Zelenaya (born 1954), a bright representative of modern musical art: composer, pianist, music critic, teacher. The life line of the musician, the stages of the creative path, various aspects of creative talent are revealed; M. Zelenaya's thoughts and comments on various current events in the cultural life of Russia in the second half of the XX century are given, thanks to which an impression is formed about the genre, style, artistic preferences of the composer. In a wide panorama of events and facts of Margarita Zelenaya's creative path, vivid figuratively visible portraits of outstanding personalities of culture and art of the past and present are formed.
