Abstract

The article delves into the study of various aspects of the structure of social identity of student youth in the Re-public of Buryatia in order to identify the peculiarities of its formation and manifestation. The empirical material is based on the results of a sociological survey on the values and social self-determination of students of the Republic of Buryatia, conducted in April – June 2023 in educational institutions of the region. The author identi-fies the structural features of students’ self-identification, determines the dominant types of identity. Thus, the article examines various aspects of the social identity of students and how the social self-determination of stu-dents is influenced by characteristics such as gender, age, ethnicity, place of residence and place of study, and assesses the influence of these characteristics on the structure of students’ social identity.
