Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of readiness teachers of humanities to form the innovative potential of future engineers. The essence of the basic concepts is revealed, the results of empirical research are presented, proving the relevance of finding effective means to optimize the process of studying humanities disciplines in a technical university, one of which could be the development of a professional development course.
