Abstract

This study aims to monitor for the spatio-temporal distribution of fish using quantitative echo sounder around the coast where artificial reefs will be installed for create marine ranching efficiently.BR The survey was conducted totally three times at Boryeong on 18 July 2016 (1st survey), 24 August (2nd survey), and 26 October (3rd survey). BR Results from the survey, the fish distribution pattern in July, daytime and nighttime were similar, and in August daytime was distributed on a high density in every stratum of water. The density of the fish in October was much smaller than that in July and August. Thus, the distribution of the fish school can change depending on daytime, nighttime, monthly, and submarine topography.BR Therefore, it thought that systematic survey should be conducted periodically considering to water temperature, salinity, live food as inhabited environments for fish.
