Abstract
Fuzzy set membership functions are widely used to reflect expert preferences in situations of uncertainty. Procedures for modifying membership functions provide the opportunity to obtain new functions based on existing ones without the additional involvement of experts. The work examines existing and proposes new approaches to the construction of modification procedures, methods for their implementation and compensation for the difficulties arising in this case.
