Abstract

The official activity of an investigator is a complex and multifaceted phenomenon that requires a high degree of professionalism and concentration during work. In this study, the interrelation between biopsychological age and professional burnout of employees of investigative departments of internal affairs bodies aged 23 to 57 years was studied. The investigators who took part in the experimental work felt like older people. The study showed that employees under the age of 30 had fewer signs of a decrease in emotional tone, detachment and emotional indifference in communicating with others. With an increase in the level of their passion and enthusiasm for professional activity, the expected retirement age will increase. Employees over the age of 30 have a greater risk of a tendency to decrease professional motivation, with an increase in the level of mental exhaustion, they will have an increased negative assessment of their health, and with an increase in biological age, professional motivation will decrease. The data obtained should be taken into account in the process of psychological preparation of specialists for professional activity and prevention of professional burnout.
