Abstract

It is stated that any method for converting geodetic rectangular coordinates into curvilinear ones is impossible without iterations. A defect of «non-iteration» methods is emphasized. The three variants of converting of coordinate Z are considered. The accent is made of the fact that any formula for tangent of latitude in every variants is equivalent. The formulas of errors of height and latitude are derived. The errors of height are less sensitive to errors of latitude. The method for joint (combined) calculation with other methods is compared. Advantage of the algorithm for joint (combined) calculation of the geodetic latitude and height is shown. An example of calculation of height and latitude for the points on the Earth’s surface by the new method is given.
