Abstract
The purpose of this work is an analytical review of available scientific information on methods for obtaining biologically active peptides from raw materials of animal origin, their main functions and properties. Recently, there has been a growing interest in the scientific community in the discovery of new bioactive compounds that can be isolated from foods or substances, which provides great opportunities for obtaining new peptides with pharmacological effects. The daily progress of modern science in the study of the structure and components of raw materials of animal origin is noted. Biologically active peptides are compounds consisting of a chain of amino acids in animal and vegetable proteins. Biologically active peptides demonstrate a significant effect on ongoing processes in the human body: they regulate metabolic processes, increase the life cycle of cells by restoring their regeneration, and have a powerful pharmacological effect, which makes them valuable therapeutic and prophylactic components.
