Abstract

The article presents an overview of the problems encountered at the construction of new buildings near an adjacent historical development area. There is substantiated a need for a new approach to restricting the limiting value of additional settlement of historical built-up area which is regulated by building specifications. New directions for the development of geotechnical monitoring have been identified.
