Abstract
The article is divided into two parts, the first of which briefly presents the history of the production of electric cars. Contrary to expectations, it turns out that electric cars have been produced before conventional cars. The second part presents the main problems and challenges facing the production and mass distribution of electric vehicles. The main theoretical problem is the extent to which electric cars pollute the environment compared to conventional cars. In an attempt to find an answer to this question, environmental pollution at different stages of the electric car’s life is considered. The main conclusion is that electric cars pollute the environment much less than conventional cars, but the exact percentage is impossible to be given.
