Abstract

The relevance of the paper is determined by the need to modify the basic methodological approaches to axiological issues. It seems to the author an effective methodology developed in Russian philosophical personalism. In accordance with it, the phenomena of social reality should be considered as subjective-objective. On the one hand, they are subjective as the products of thinking and activity of creative individuals. On the other hand, they are also objective in nature due to the conditionality of sociocultural traditions. This approach is being developed today in modern Western social philosophy. The creation by man and the subsequent objectification of the social world by him are described in it as processes of reification. The novelty of this paper is due to the author’s attempt to apply the subjective-objective methodology to the study of modern axiological problems. This will avoid the extremes of methodological approaches of both individualism and collectivism. Since the interdependence of collectivist and individualistic values is affirmed.
